The first time we had a lockdown, we weren’t prepared.
But by now, we should be prepared. And I’m not here to share about health, politic or ethic matters, I’m here to share strategies to help in business.
Here they are…
PREPARATION
There’s really no excuse for not being prepared. We’ve already seen the effect in 2020. Thus, I don’t need to remind anyone the top 3 trends – virtual business, e-learning and eCommerce transactions.
Virtual Business – A business needs to be online. For instance, if you are doing MLM, you need to learn how to present your product and pitch online now. You need to learn how to network by using the internet, not just offline anymore.
E-learning – People are now learning over the internet. Even events are now all online. If you are not in this industry, is there any possibility to “digitalize” your existing business into content?
eCommerce Transactions – Start to sell your product over the internet. Back in 2020, I launched Operation Recession Takeover (now it has been expanded into One Page eCom) and in it, I advise my students to start selling low price physical products to build a funnel.
COMPETITION
You are not the only one who realize this. So how do you win over your competitors?
The answer is, TIME. I know, it’s not an answer that anyone would want to hear because they want the magic pill. Like there’s a secret strategy that will solve all marketing problem.
The answer lies in being able to withstand through business turbulence because if you are the real deal, eventually your customers will find out that truth (either sooner or later).
So if you plan your business well, chances are, you’ll still be around after the pandemic. This means, staying FOCUS.
When you are around to serve your customers during challenging times, imagine what it’ll do when the economy is good again. You’ll be the #1.
YOUR MENTAL GAME
But I think, the most important rule for success is mastering your mental game.
Because when it’s challenging, you could be driven by fear. Or even greed.
For instance, I was doing well with Bitclout recently. I even became the top 5 most traded Coins (means many people are trading my coin) and top price gainer (means many people are probably making money trading my coin).
But I stopped marketing it. Reason is, there are still uncertainties in how to trade Bitclout*.
*Bitclout is another story of its own for another day.
Next is fear. I remembered those days when I was broke. Every action is highly influenced by fear simply because I’m fearful to fail. How would you ever succeed if you have fear of losing?
In summary…
If you are not prepared yet, then get yourself prepared to be in the right trend. As the pandemic is not going away at any time soon.
Whatever you decided to build, focus on long-term and be patient towards success. If each day you can contribute an action to it, you’ll see it growing.
Lastly, it’s only YOU who can master your own mental game.
