This is over the weekend, this is a fish farm. 🙂
The reason why I have time to hang out with my kids is not because I don’t work, but I just work “differently”.
In fact, I’ve been doing this for YEARS now.
If you would like to hear how it’s possible to have freedom while running a business successfully, here are the 3 things I do.
1. I only produce content when necessary.
When it comes to marketing, I don’t produce content for the sake of “presence” or “branding”. Now, I’m not going against Gary V’s advice or anyone who’s teaching you to produce content every day, they DO WORK – it’s just not my style.
And because I don’t do that, I have a lot of free time.
2. I figured out what’s my priority in life.
Yes, I like to make money. But I always remind myself that money is just one of the vehicles for you to achieve what you want.
So I don’t work for money, I work for what the money can do for me. And if I’ve already achieved that end result, well, money is not the main priority anymore, right?
Seems like if we are not obsessed with money, we would have a lot of time.
3. I focus on building passive incomes.
If a “job” does not contribute to building passive income, it gets very little of my attention for business.
Which means, when you do the work, does your TODAY’s work helps you to make money “TOMORROW”?
At the same time, when it comes to passive income, it’s a bit tricky.
For instance, I’ll still accept a $25,000 fee job, even if it doesn’t bring any passive income.
Why? Because the amount is significant enough to be used to invest into something that can generate passive income in the future.
My client will invest $25K to hire my expertise and service because they want quick ROI for their business – they don’t have 12 months to wait for the $25K to grow, but I have.
I have more, but let’s post those the next round. Let’s keep this post short to save time.
P.S: Because I have more free time now, I’m now spending the time to write the second edition of the International Player, https://theinternationalplayer.com
